I find myself amazed more often than not at the power of the internet. The ability to find out any information you could ever want or need to know at any given moment, all because it’s in the palm of our hands. The fact that now, because of the internet, we call the pound sign a hashtag and it works as a different type of search engine.
When I first got Souts' message back in November of last year, I was stunned. “Hey, I found you through the #norcophotographer and wanted to know if you were available for our wedding?” How crazy is that? I think I had used that hashtag once, many months ago.
Shortly after, the three of us met up at a Starbucks to go over details of their wedding day and sign the contract. I’m always so nervous meeting people for the first time, then throw in the meeting someone off the internet in the mix and I’m a nervous wreck, ha! Me being a dork and sometimes rather awkward has NOTHING to do with it, really.
I remember it being one of the colder, rainier days of last year and I remember just how sweet Souts and Guillermo were. My nerves were for nothing… and they usually are unfounded.
Flash forward to the week of their wedding and the forecast for some of the most rain we’ve had all year! It was crazy! Come the actual day of, though. It was absolutely perfect. The rain washed away all the bad and brought us so much good. The skies came out to play that day, too. You’ll see below.
Enough of my terrible attempt at blogging! Check out their wedding day below!
Souts and Guillermo, I am truly honored you had me capture your day. I just love watching people in love!
